What is Taxhance?
Taxhance is an AI-powered document management platform built specifically for CPA firms. It automates the collection, classification, and tracking of client tax documents, replacing the spreadsheets, email chains, and manual follow-ups that consume hundreds of hours every tax season.
How much does Taxhance cost?
Taxhance starts at $39 per month when billed annually, or $49 per month on a monthly plan. Additional team members cost $25/month (annual) or $30/month (monthly) each. Every new account includes a 21-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required to start.
What tax document types does Taxhance AI classify?
Our AI automatically classifies 25+ tax document types including W-2, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-B, 1099-R, 1099-S, 1099-K, K-1, 1098, SSA-1099, receipts, and more. New document types are added regularly based on firm feedback.
Does Taxhance replace my tax preparation software?
No. Taxhance handles document collection and organization upstream of your tax preparation software. Direct integrations are coming soon, starting with Drake for automated data pushing, followed by other major platforms. Currently, your team uses the organized and classified documents from Taxhance in whichever preparation tool you prefer.
Is Taxhance secure?
Yes. Taxhance uses AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit. Our platform is actively pursuing SOC 2 Type 1 certification and is GDPR compliant. Taxhance operates a Zero Data Retention (ZDR) policy: AI processing is ephemeral and your data is never stored by AI services or used for model training.
How do automated reminders work?
You configure reminder schedules for each client or group of clients. Taxhance automatically sends email reminders to clients who have outstanding or missing documents, following your schedule. Reminders include a direct link to the client portal where clients can upload their documents. You can customize the reminder frequency, messaging, and stop conditions.
Can my clients upload documents from their phone?
Yes. The Taxhance client portal is fully responsive and works on any device: phone, tablet, or desktop. Clients can take a photo of a document with their phone camera and upload it directly. The AI will classify it automatically.
How long does setup take?
Most firms are fully operational on Taxhance in one afternoon. You create your account, invite your team members, set up client binders, and send portal invitations to your clients. There is no complex integration or IT involvement required.
Does Taxhance work for solo practitioners?
Absolutely. Taxhance is used by solo practitioners and large multi-partner firms alike. Solo practitioners benefit especially from the automated reminders and AI classification, which free up time that would otherwise be spent on administrative document management.
Is there a limit on the number of clients?
The Professional plan includes unlimited client binders. You can onboard as many clients as your firm serves without worrying about per-client fees or usage caps.
